A half day small group course aimed at users who want to learn about 3D printing and get more out of a Robox 3D printer, providing an invaluable introduction to the process of preparing a 3D file for print using commonly used CAD software and executing for 3D printing.
What does this course cover?
This is a hands-on course where all attendees will need access to a computer. In its basic form, the training will cover the following:
- Preparing a design to print using CAD software. Not all 3D designs are fit to print and participants will be guided through the process of designing so the model is suitable for 3D printing.
- Using Robox AutoMaker software. This portion of the course guides users through the award-winning software’s main features such as model orientation, support structures and infill, as well as advanced features such as SmartReel re-programming and creating custom quality and filament profiles.
- Operating the 3D printers. Participants will learn basic operations as well as troubleshooting.
- Maintaining the 3D printer. Participants will be given the basic knowledge of general maintenance as well as more in depth maintenance operations such as cleaning and unclogging to keep the 3D printers running in optimal conditions all the time.
Training at Robox HQ
Training will be here at the Robox HQ in Portishead, near Bristol, UK. BS20 7AY.
This training session will typically occur every three months on the last Friday of the quarter. Confirmation of the date and specific times will be arranged over email and may be flexible depending on existing bookings. For larger groups there is a separate group training product but we can be flexible where several bookings are involved.
