Is there a recommended procedure to change the nozzle on the Single Lite head if it gets clogged or worn out?  Can we change the nozzle size as well?  I noticed that the nozzle size is greyed out when using the Single Lite head.

We do not recommend it because it is so easy to break the thin walls in the nozzle and the hot end can twist. Broken or damaged parts can lead to other issues all of which will be your responsibility if modifications are made.

It must be assembled and dissembled hot enough to burn you which is another reason not to do it ;)

2 tools are needed, the block must be held firmly while the nozzle is carefully tightened. Olsson nozzle ratchet is a safe way to reduce the chance of overtightening. https://olssonruby.com/nozzletool/ [just print one...]

If the nozzle size is changed:

If you find this file C:\Program Files\CEL\Common\Heads\SingleLite.roboxhead you can copy and rename it. In the file you will need a unique "typeCode" so the head is identified when fitted. Edit "diameter" to match your nozzle.

Restart AutoMaker to see the changes. Write the head file to the head using Preferences>Head EEPROM>Reset and select your new file (there wont be a picture).

You may need to create a lot of new profiles...

@pete I think the OP is referring to the Single Lite head. I think the process is the same, but the nozzles should be less delicate, correct? So the Olsson tool isn't needed.

It is more a consideration of torque. Overtightening is common and terminal. The tool is a safer way to go but not required.

Oh and you are correct the file to edit is different to what I wrote (now edited in my original post) :)
