X-Y axis.

Topic starter

I have an old robox, when it is starting up and the print head moves over to the left it doesn't stopp and judders horribly for about 10 seconds.

Any idea why this is happening?

This means the X axis limit switch isn't being triggered. This may be due to a failed switch or a couple of other things. The easy way to check if the switch has failed is to enable advanced mode and ensure the diagnostics panel is up. Then locate the small tab on the left side of the X-Carriage and push it with your finger. The indicator on X-Limit should switch between white and blue. If it doesn't you will need a new X-Carriage PCB or possibly a new head ribbon cable. If it does, then you need to find out why that tab isn't being activated. If the gantry is out of level sometimes the limit won't activate, so check that the gantry is level. If the gantry can't be leveled, the Z movement is damaged and will need to be repaired.

It may be best at that point to open a support ticket.
