Really struggling to load the Polyflex. does anyone have any tips? The printer just seems unable to grip it and pull it through to the head. Or am I missing something, could just be a newbie error

PolyFlex is really on the lower end of what the Robox will print with. I have done it, but you have to have your settings exactly right and they will vary on your print head and extruder specifics, so you will need to run some trial and error.

As with all flex filament, you need to add a length of 2mm ID 3mm OD Bowden tube to the filament load port and run the filament through that. Then keep forcing the filament through the extruder. It takes a couple of tries when I do it.

You also need to make sure you have a gray extruder. If it is black you won't be able to load or print with flex filaments.

@bhudson Thankyou for your help,
I have the robox pro so there is already a feed tube, and I don't seem to be able to get any closer to the feed mechanism. I believe I have the right head so all should be good, looking forward to lots of trial and error if only I can get it to feed in!!!

You can't load flex filament in the Pro using the loading tubes that get used for normal filament. To load flex, remove the load tube from the extruder and load the flex directly into the input port of the extruder.
