[Solved] Dynamite Red PLA Filament

Just sun my Robox back up after nearly 12 months and a house move!  I think the Black PLA that was left in the printer during that time is now b*ggered - extruder was grinding - put some Dynamite Red PLA Filament in and all now working OK - but I only have 60m of it and I need more for a project I'm going to print.

But... Dynamite Red PLA Filament seems to be out of stock everywhere in the UK

Any ideas where I can get a reel in the UK/Europe?  Or a non-destructive (to my head/extruder) 1.75mm equivalent I can use on my 2014 Robox with V2 QuickFill Head as an alternative?

As long as the filament doesn't have filler in it, it will not damage your print head. I would get any red PLA and give it a shot with the Robox settings.

This is available in the US: https://www.circuitspecialists.com/robox_pla_filament_dynamite_red.html

I don't find any in the EU/UK. Good luck.

One thing I do from the Covid test kits is keep the gel bags in a sealed carton and chuck a handful into the plastic bag when I change reels, keeps the filament nice and dry.  You may want to try and recover the black filament into a sealable bag with a good handful of gel bags and leave for a month, see if that recovers it.

Robox is a complex machine with many potential uses, to help preserve the good working order of both hardware and software please be patient and note that many common fixes for other 3D printers do not apply to Robox and may cause irreversible damage or compromise safe operation.
