Brand New Printer and Smoke

I have recently bought a new unboxed RBX-01. I followed all the the instructions (taking off tape, remove plastic clips, feeding the filament etc.). I them excitedly started my very first print. I noticed the filament was taking along time to heat (never really going above 80C).... then after a couple of minutes... pop sound, and then smoke. I cancelled the print and let it all cool down. There is a powdery grey residue on the bed (the filament is green so it it not filament). Photo of the bed with the sediment is attached.

Could someone please advise what I should do next? Should I try and print again? Is there anything I should check?

@billb
By open box, you mean you bought it used?
You need to open a support ticket. You can't post photos as you are new. I really think a support ticket is your best bet. It sounds like the print head has been damaged. DO NOT use the printer until cleared by support; any time you have smoke it means something critical has failed.
