This post shows how to alter filament slip settings

https://cel-uk.com/forums/topic/starter-profile-for-ninjaflex/#post-27005

M909 S50 would reduce filament slip errors to virtually none but if something goes wrong the filament slip error would prevent damage. For this reason you are responsible for any damage if you change this setting. Be sure to change it back to 5 or 10 when using regular filaments.

I have successfully printed several items in NijaFlex (using the DM printhead), 60c bed temp (would NOT start with the 40c bed temp in the supplied profile), 220c nozzle temp, flow rate 1.00, feed rate multiplier .68.

The only issue I have is that if I don't remove the filament immediately after printing and come back to it laeter, AM only heats the nozzle to 140c and that is NOT hot enough to removed the material.

@pete you started this thread at the beginning of the year. Any news of having ninjaflex or similar material on the smart reel? I managed to persuade myself you've already had it, but couldn't find any trace of it (probably just my imagination).

@microcan Yup, you prompted it with that wheel! :)

I've printed my phone case with sample NinjaFlex I've got when my extruder was upgraded to handle flexible material. It was great but support (printed without it) missing caused top underside to sag and make it a bit messy. I hoped HIPS and DM head would be the way forward, but now reading about limonene I am not sure anymore.

But, aside of that - I'll be in need of some tyres similar to what you've printed and hence my interest in getting some - on smart reels or otherwise.

I should say, all flex ilaments on external, non-Robox reels feed great. You can't straighten the feed path for the Robox reels unless you hang the reel on an external spool feeder so it feeds straight from the side.

Worth a try, thanks Ken. Before drilling holes you can try removing the side to test. Also....please remove the panel before you pick up the drill :)
